A damaged drain does not automatically mean digging up the whole yard. Pipe relining can repair suitable sections from inside the existing pipe, but it is not the right answer for every fault. What Pipe Relining Actually Repairs

Relining creates a new lining inside a suitable existing drain. Before recommending it, a plumber needs to assess the pipe, identify the damaged section and determine whether it can be cleaned and prepared. A CCTV inspection helps establish the location and nature of the problem.

A blocked pipe and a broken pipe are not the same thing. Clearing grease, debris or roots may restore flow, but it will not repair an open joint or crack that allowed the problem to develop. When Relining Is Worth Considering

Access is often the deciding factor. Request the proposed lining system, relevant product information and written warranty terms. A product’s expected design life is different from a warranty, and warranty coverage can vary between materials and workmanship. Neither a fixed lifespan nor a blanket “no digging” promise should replace an assessment of your drain.
